TORR is back in Germany

TORR has traveled back to Germany.  He is now at the Jewish cemetery Neustadtgodens.  Below is some history of the place.  Very interesting and a very picturesque spot.  His travel log is up to 6,389.9 miles, Wow who would have thought when he first left our porch.

The History of the Jewish cemetery Neustadtgödens

The Jewish families asked on 10th January 1708 to the stately approval to plant a graveyard. Until then they had buried their dead in the cemetery at Witt mouth. The rule assigned them to a piece of land on the so-called Maanlande on the road from Neustadtgödens to Gödens. In 1764, the cemetery was expanded. 84 grave stones in the cemetery are preserved today.

What a trip he has been on. We here at Mountain Aire Realty can't wait to see where he ends up next.

TORR travels Europe

Well TORR is at it again.  From our last entry he has bounced around a few places.  His travels now have him traveled 5,829.5 miles.  Not bad in a years time.  We decided also to start another trackable Earthlight.
Its goal is the travel through all 50 states and Providences in Canada.  Keep an eye for it's travels.  It has already been picked up from our front porch at Mountain Aire Realty, we can't wait to follow the travels.

Well let's get back to TORR's travels.  He left Vienna and went to Croatia,
He visited this 5th century convent, the auther said that monks lost it for a second time in 1948.  It was used as a poor house until 1989 and since has been abandoned.

Torr's next stop was at the Cafe Belvedere in Bled Slovenia.  It is a some amazing views of Bled Lake and Bled island pictured below.  I think this looks like a great place to have a relaxing meal and enjoy the view.  Lucky TORR.

After bouncing around a few more places (back to Germany and the back to Slovenia) he is resting in Croatia.  This is just outside the Karavanke Tunnel in the parking area.  Just waiting to get picked up and moved to his next destination.
TORR has been on some great adventures since leaving our porch.  If you are ever around the North Georgia Mountains please stop in and tell us about your geocaching adventures.  Who knows what your next adventure might lead to!

TORR continues through Europe

Well TORR has had a few interesting travels since our last entry.  From Germany he has headed to Wien, Austria to the Bridge over Bridge.

Bridge over Bridge in Wien, Austria

From there he went on his next adventure to Vienna, where he took a short break and had a few visitors at the Luxus TB Hotel (I did not know they had travel bug hotels).  He had an interesting time there, had several visitors tag him but left him there (I think he was just really tired after all he has traveled some 5055 miles since he left our little porch).

Torr's starting point, our front porch at Mountain Aire Realty Ellijay, GA.  We would love to start you on your own adventure learning all the beautiful things the Blue Ridge Mountains have to offer
.

Once TORR was rested and relaxed it was off again.  This time to guten appetite where it appears he has made a new friend.

Hopefully TORR will make many new friends on his travels.   I cant wait to see where he ends up next.  Until Torr's next adventure, safe travels and keep geocaching!

TORR is off to Germany!!!

Well TORR is on the move again.  He has moved from the UK and now is in Germany.  Millenniums-Radweg is his new location, as of April 26.  Hopefully he will be moving on shortly for another update.  There were not any pictures of the exact location except a picture of the cache.
 View Image.

This was the only picture I could pull of the rough location of TORR.  Not quite as scenic as his last resting place but still looks cool.

I can't wait to see where he ends up next.  It has been an adventure for sure, he has traveled over 4,510 miles since his journey started at Mountain Aire Realty in Ellijay, GA.  If you are ever in the area stop by and visit or see if you can find "Big Red" our own Geo cache.
